Our current Leadership class is planning the entire day and actively recruiting volunteers\, seeking sponsors and donations and searching for homes of senior citizens in the Westerville school district. More information here.\n\n\nSince the first-ever Service Day in 2002\, we have brought together nearly 2\,200 volunteers of all ages to help senior citizens and our residents-in-need by working on more than 850 service projects\, tallying over 8\,400 hours of service for the purpose of building a better community. This year's event on Saturday\, April 25th will be planned\, promoted and put together as a class project by those leaders currently in our Leadership Westerville program. During Service Day\, we will have roughly 150 volunteers helping at nearly 70 homes of senior citizens throughout the Westerville City School District working on projects from Spring cleaning to larger home projects.
