SUMMARY:Quarterly Membership Luncheon - March 2020
DESCRIPTION:The State of Healthcare - featuring leadership from Mount Carmel St. Ann's\, Nationwide Children's Hospital and OhioHealth. The luncheon will focus on what healthcare updates mean for Westerville residents and employees and the impacts of employment. Facilitated by Dr. John Comerford\, President of Otterbein University\, conversation will also include the impacts to higher education and the student population healthcare.\n\n\nUnhee Kim is a highly motivated\, results-oriented\, accomplished Senior Healthcare Executive experienced in hospital and system leadership\, service line management\, and strategic business development. Unhee began her career as a Registered Nurse at University Hospitals of Cleveland with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Akron and advanced in a variety of leadership roles including Vice President of Operations and Nursing. During this time she obtained her Masters of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University. Unhee was fortunate to be referred to Summa Health System in Akron\, Ohio where she served in several leadership roles such as Vice President of Operations/Chief Nursing Officer and System Vice President. Unhee has been able to combine her passion for patient care and business to advance healthcare improvements and service throughout Northeast Ohio and now in Central Ohio. Unhee was further blessed to join Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus\, Ohio in 2015. She is the President for St. Ann's Hospital\, a 389 bed full service regional medical center.\n\nDr. Lutz serves as the COO for OhioHealth Grove City Methodist Hospital on Stringtown Road. He also has accountability for OhioHealth Pickerington Medical Campus and OhioHealth Westerville Medical Campus. Dr. Lutz has been with OhioHealth since 2001. Prior to his role as COO for Grove City Methodist Hospital\, Dr. Lutz served as COO for OhioHealth Grant Medical Center for 5 years. Prior to that role\, Dr. Lutz served as vice president of Surgery and Anesthesia at Grant. Dr. Lutz started his medical career at Grant where he completed his podiatric surgical residency. He received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and a bachelor's degree from Jacksonville University.\n\n \n\nRick Miller is President and COO at Nationwide Children's Hospital\, a position he has held since 2006. Rick has been employed by the hospital since 1985\, and previously held several different administrative positions in planning\, human resources and operations prior to being appointed COO. Rick is most proud of the strong executive and management team that supports operations\, and the One Team culture which pervades Nationwide Children's. He is committed to fostering a work environment that is high-performing\, collaborative\, and non-bureaucratic.
