DESCRIPTION:If you are like most of us\, we spent at least 12 years in academia to learn and apply skills for life  math\, science\, english\, etc.  All these classes most of us took for granted but ironically learned rights from wrongs\, good from evil\, the how's and the why's of life (for the most part).  When we look at relationships though\, we never really spend time learning and applying healthy ways to strengthen our relationships\, ways we communicate with each other\, or ways to bring our bodies down from fight/flight to calm and regulated.  In this workshop\, you will gain pieces to fit the relationship puzzle in your life.\n\nPuzzle pieces include:\n\n\n	Gottman's Four Horsemen of Communication\n	\n		Learn and practice how you fight fair in relationships through tried and true methods and practices.  Most of us don't realize what our body language and choice of words really says to someone.  Learn how to recognize and call out criticism\, contempt\, defensiveness\, and stonewalling in your relationship.\n	\n	\n	Mindfulness\n	\n		Mindfulness isn't simply looking for something\, it is an active way of understanding what your body is trying to say and how to regulate the fight/flight center of your brain when you start getting "stressed out" by your partner.\n	\n	\n	Stress Reduction Conversation Skills\n	\n		These skills are awesome for building up relationships because you learn how to become the cheerleader for your partner and vice versa.
