DESCRIPTION:Jason is serving as the Director of Community Affairs for Mayor Andrew J. Ginther. He is approachable\, understanding and responsive to the residents of the City of Columbus and strives to maintain open lines of communication and dialogue. Every day he works to ensure that every person\, in every neighborhood\, has a voice and that voice is heard.\n\n\n\nPrior to working at the City of Columbus\, he served as the Director of Regional Advancement at The Ohio State University. With access to affordable higher education for all students in mind\, he helped to develop a multilevel development strategy for the Midwest and East Coast region of the country.\n\n\n\nJason has worked at YMCA and Big Brothers & Big Sisters. His experience has provided him a wealth of knowledge in Community Affairs and relationship building\; which is key to the success of the boards/Commissions in which he serves. Those boards are: The City of Columbus: Community Relations Commission\, The African-American Alumni Association for Otterbein College\, Big Brothers/Big Sisters African American Advisory Council\, The Lincoln Theater and Columbus Police Department Diversity Recruitment Council.\n\n\n\nA 2004 graduate of Otterbein University\, he received his B. A. in Sociology and his B.S. in Computer Science. Jason is married to his high school sweetheart\, Melanie and they have 3 children\, Giana\, Graycin\, and Giulian. In addition\, he is a graduate of the African American Leadership Academy and is Lean Six Sigma Certified.
