Construction Contracts Administrator

Lehman Daman Construction Services, Inc. began in 1946 and now employs over 50 people and is part of the Rudolph Libbe Group. Lehman Daman is comprised of two main divisions, large projects, and service. The large projects group handles what many would typically think of as commercial construction projects. The Construction Contracts Administrator will assist in reviewing legal and risk management issues in vendor contracts. This position will have the option to work hybrid and/or remote, but the individual should be based in the Columbus, OH area.


  • Conduct preliminary contract reviews and provide mark-ups and recommendations regarding important legal and risk management issues.
  • Review, revise and assist with negotiation of various contracts with owners and vendors.
  • Organize contract files including but not limited to review copies, internal discussion notes, negotiation correspondence and final execution contract documents.
  • Ensure that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work with Project Managers to draft contract communications and notices.
  • Attend meetings to assess progress on projects and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders.
  • Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders including project managers, risk management professionals and senior executives.
  • Request and review vendor insurance documents for compliance with Owner Contracts.
  • Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers in preparation of Subcontracts and Purchase Contracts.

  • General understanding of accounting principles and finance.


  • 3+ years’ experience in a contract administration role or related field.
  • Legal experience and/or knowledge of contract law.
  • Customer service and project management experience a plus, especially coordination of large projects.
  • Construction related background/experience preferred but not required.
