WELD FOUNDATIONS IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MODULE 3 – COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Individuals seeking a seat in the boardroom of for-profit companies or of certain nonprofit organizations, a role in the C-suite, a seat on government boards and commissions and leadership other arenas of civic engagement are better equipped to lead and participate if they have knowledge of the fundamentals of the economic development process. WELD is excited to announce its Foundations in Economic Development Series. This 4-part virtual program will provide an excellent overview of economic development that will build attendee knowledge and confidence in the subject area. The parts include, The Basics, Economic Development Tools, Community Development and Hot Topics in the Boardroom.

Module 3: Community Development

This module will provide definition and context for community development and how it ties to economic development and discuss best practices of economic development and economic development inclusion.
