Grief Matters: Picking up the Pieces Honoring Grief and Connection Through the Art of Kintsugi

What do you do with the pieces of a favorite dish or cherished antique when it has broken? Rather than discard an item because it is damaged and seems no longer valuable, the ancient Japanese Art of Kintsugi repairs these broken pieces. Meaning “golden joinery,” Kintsugi encourages us to embrace and honor the damage as a beautiful, valuable part of an item’s history.
