Private Employer Payroll True-up deadline AUGUST 15, 2024!
A friendly reminder to all private employers to file the annual payroll true-up report online at www.bwc.ohio.gov
This report compares BWC’s estimated payroll with the actual payroll for the policy period July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024. Based on the reported actual payroll, BWC will calculate the final premium amount. This could result in a credit to your account, or additional premium owed. True-up should be completed and any additional premium paid (if applicable) by Aug. 15, 2024.
If you have reported zero payroll and no employees in the past, BWC may waive the true-up requirement. You will be notified if you are eligible for this waiver. If you are eligible for the waiver, BWC will complete the true-up report on your behalf and report $0 in payroll.
However, if you received the waiver but had payroll during the July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024 policy period, you are still required to submit a true-up report and pay any additional premium paid (if applicable) by Aug. 15, 2024
If you have elective coverage for sole proprietor or partnership coverage during the policy year, you must report wages for the individual, subject to the minimum and maximum amount.
Failure to complete the annual payroll true-up report and pay any premium due by Aug. 15 will result in removal from our employer discount, rebate, and ratings programs and may make you ineligible to participate in the programs in the future.
