Greg Murray - Game Announcer of the Columbus Blue Jackets

Greg Murray is a 35-year radio veteran and currently the C.B.O. (Chief Blabbing Officer) of MurrVox Voice Imaging, a radio and TV production company, which he and his wife Julie have owned and operated since 2000. Greg has worked the Country, Rock and currently in the Contemporary Christian formats doing radio imaging and production. MurrVox serves more than 25 stations around the United States with imaging, underwriting and concert tour production services.

Greg is also the Public Address announcer for the Columbus Blue Jackets, a position he’s held since the CBJ entered the NHL as an expansion team in 2000. In 23 years and 22 seasons, Greg has had the distinction of working every single Blue Jackets game in franchise history and to date has worked 880 consecutive CBJ home games.

Greg and Julie both grew up in Columbus and at one time attended the same elementary school together but never knew each other until high school. They’ve been married 30 years and have two sons: Wesley, a professional videographer; and Cooper, a professional chef. Greg and Julie live in Lewis Center.
