CK Construction Group
Lori Gillett, a third-generation owner of the Burgett family of companies, became the CEO of CK Construction Group in 2019, and elected to serve as Chair of the Board in 2022. Lori worked summers at Kokosing from 7th grade as an intern, then as a laborer through her high school and college years. Following graduation from Ohio Northern University with a BSCE, Lori began her career as a project engineer for the Kokosing group of companies in 1996.
CK Construction Group is a private, family-owned company, founded and headquartered in Ohio. CK specializes in construction management, design-build and general contracting within commercial construction market sectors throughout Ohio and Indiana, with select clients nationwide.
Lori is involved in the community through the Columbus Partnership, and currently serves on the Board of Advisors for One Columbus (2024 - current). She also serves on the Board of Directors for the New Albany Community Foundation (2024 - current), JobsOhio (2021 - current), and Associated General Contractors of Ohio, Central Ohio Division (2020 - current). In addition to her board service, Lori has extensive committee involvement within each board, including serving as JobsOhio Audit Committee Chair and most recently named to the One Columbus and JobsOhio Executive Committees.
Lori has completed terms on the Boards of Directors of SSOE (2017 - 2023), the Governor's Executive Workforce Board (2017 - 2022), the Ohio Contractors Association (2016 - 2019), and the Ohio Dam Safety Organization (2011 - 2018).
Lori has also served on Advisory Boards for Ohio Northern University's Smull College of Engineering (2011 - 2023), Cedarville University Civil Engineering (2021 - 2023), STEM Industry Council (2012 - 2018), and VirDeCon (2016 - 2018).
Lori served on the Kokosing, Inc. Board of Directors (2012 - 2018) which oversees the following companies: Kokosing Construction Company (Transportation), Kokosing Industrial Company (Heavy Industrial, Power, Marine, Water/Wastewater, Oil & Gas), Kokosing Materials (Asphalt Supplier), McGraw Kokosing (Maintenance, Heavy Industrial). These are family-owned companies, headquartered in Ohio. She has served as the President and other roles on the Burgett Family Business Council.
Lori is a wife and a mother, who enjoys Pilates and golf. She's a member of the Mount Vernon Country Club, The Columbus Club, and the Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Florida.
Lori resides in Westerville, Ohio with her husband and their two children.
