JOB TITLE: Associate, Development & Communication

HOURS: 15 hrs/week
RATE OF PAY: Based on experience/skill set
DEPARTMENT: Development and Communication
REPORTS TO: Director of Development and Communication
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
WARM's Development & Communication Associate is responsible for the oversight of WARM's website, social media platforms, writing/proofing/editing, grant writing assistance and tracking, routine correspondence, and assist in planning of WARM’s signature fundraising events.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The incumbent reports to the Director of Development and Communication. The incumbent interacts regularly with other staff members. This position will work 15 hours/week in the office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with department managers to design, manage, and update the website to effectively engage and attract visitors and donors.
- Develop and post engaging content and photos on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Constant Contact weekly, or as directed.
- Write and edit a variety of documents, including letters, reports, and marketing materials.
- Assist with grant writing, submission, tracking, and follow-up for all grant applications
- Work with department managers to collect content for WARM’s newsletters and annual Impact Report; assist in the writing/editing of said articles; work with the outside publisher on design, layout, and mailing of the publications
- Create and post weekly Sunday scripture quotes to Facebook and Instagram
- Generate monthly donor thank you and create special stewardship letters for grant and major donations.
- Assist in the planning and staffing WARM signature events
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development and Communication

- College degree preferred; or equivalent work experience
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize work as needed
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Outlook, Google Chrome, Canva,
Hopper HQ, Constant Contact
Business casual attire is acceptable except when meeting with community leaders at which time, business attire is recommended.
