Anita Perez Ferguson
Anita Perez Ferguson, is a Visiting Scholar for the Woodrow Wilson Foundation at Princeton and commentator for WAMC, Northeast Public Radio in New York on issues of demographic diversity as well as domestic & international public policy. She formerly served in Washington DC as the President of the National Women’s Political Caucus and the White House Liaison to the US Department of Transportation. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the YMCA.
Perez Ferguson has been active in politics for over 15 years. She served as Director of Training for the Democratic National Committee. Perez Ferguson has provided leadership and political skills training to women in the United States, Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe. She was the Democratic nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives from California in 1990 & 1992. Her other public service positions have included; Planning Commissioner, Affirmative Action Commissioner and Chair of the Ethnic Advisory Board for Education in California.
